St. Patrick, Lucan and Holy Family, London
Saint Patrick and Holy Family will become an invitational community of disciple-making disciples who have Jesus at the center of everything we believe, say, and do.
We Need Your Help!
We are so excited to be hosting Alpha again this Fall at both our parish communities! This Fall will be the first time that St. Patrick Lucan will be hosting Alpha. In order to make this a success we need help. If you are able to donate your time we would love to hear from you.
It is no small task to host an Alpha and it requires many hands to make sure that we can give our guests the best opportunity to encounter Jesus and the Holy Spirit through Alpha.
We know that people want to be together again, to share a meal, and have inspired conversation.
St. Patrick Lucan Wednesday Evenings beginning September 27 until December 6
6:30 PM- 8:30 PM
Holy family on Thursday Evenings beginning September 28 until December 7
6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
This is our plan and this is our hope – But we need you to help us!
In-person or online) Host or Helper
The discussion time is an opportunity for people to respond to the talk, hear from others, and contribute their own perspective in an honest, friendly, and open environment.
If you have already experienced Alpha, we are looking for leaders to help welcome our guests and facilitate the conversations during the discussion time.
Hospitality
Guests are an important part of Alpha and we want to be great hosts! Just as you might invite a friend or guest to you home for a meal, we want to create an atmosphere of welcome and show everyone some radical hospitality – from when they come to our doors, to sitting down at a table, or needing to ask a question. We want a team of warm, friendly, and dynamic people to serve our guests and their needs.
Logistics Team
A key component of Alpha is to share a meal with our guests. We need support from a Team to:
set up the space
prepare the food
serve the food
clean up
Child Minding Team
We are looking for volunteers who can be with children of our Alpha guests during our sessions. Activities will be planned. Volunteers will be screened according to the Safe Environment Policy of the Diocese of London, including a Police Information Check. Volunteers who are under the age of 18 will be led by adult volunteers.
